Apple Music integrates with Serato DJ, VirtualDJ and edjing Mix

The news had been expected for some time, and it is finally official: Apple Music has announced new integrations with several leading DJ software platforms, including Serato DJ, VirtualDJ and edjing Mix.

Thanks to these updates, subscribers will be able to access a catalogue of more than 100 million songs directly from the supported software. They will also be able to prepare playlists, discover new music and practise their own mixes.

Serato DJ is now available on iOS. The app brings many desktop features to iPhone and iPad, including effects, performance controls, Cue Loops and tools for easily transferring tracks, playlists and metadata from a computer to mobile devices. It also supports more than 120 compatible hardware devices.

Meanwhile, edjing Mix, which has surpassed 250 million downloads, now integrates Apple Music. Users can explore the catalogue, load tracks onto the decks and use features such as precise synchronisation, real-time effects and MIDI controller support.

VirtualDJ, on the other hand, provides direct computer access to Apple Music tracks and playlists. The VirtualDJ Remote app also lets users control their mixes from an iPhone, even when they are away from their laptop.

As a result, moving between listening, music discovery and DJ set preparation is now easier than ever. We know how important it is to prepare a great DJ set, and Apple Music is clearly getting closer to the DJing world. With this move, the platform has confirmed that commitment even further.
