#Euro2020 – Martin Garrix, Bono & The Edge together for the soundtrack

We largely advertized it on our social media and also dedicated an article in our website. “We Are The People,” the collaboration among Martin Garrix, Bono & The Edge, and the official soundtrack for the European Championships 2020 (2021), is out today.

A fantastic record for the former #1 DJ, which is released, probably on purpose, on his 25th birthday. The track, which is far away from the dance sounds, gives space to the incredible voice of the U2‘s frontman. Moreover, it is sustained by a melodic base, and his chorus (do not call it the “drop”!) makes a melodic turn that almost sounds like “eastern.” We Are The People was created before the COVID period (nearly two years ago). Still, it seems to portray a current theme, something that everybody in the world is living: it is a hymn on the importance of fronting the constant life’s challenges, telling us not to give up and keep being united to overcome every obstacle. These are the values represented generally in sport and treated in the track.

We are the peopleWe will listen to it everywhere: on tv, on the radio, and it could also become a potential summer hit if we remind the old soundtracks of the world cup championships. However, we are very curious to listen to the numerous remixes that will give new life to this further merger between the world of EDM music and the one of the PopRock.
