It took two years, but we feel it is normal when you refer to the Swedish House Mafia. The whole wait generates incredible hype.
It was 4 October 2022, and we were telling how the Swedish trio, which had recently started the tour (Milan included), was playing new pieces from their latest album, Paradise Again, mixed with their timeless hits.
At the time, it was during one of their performances that we listened to the first edit of “Finally” with Alicia Keys‘s vocals.
Now, two years later, and after a long series of edits played here and there, the three Swedish artists officially presented the song, playing it live from Ushuaia in Ibiza, with the live vocal performance of Alicia Keys. “Finally,” it is out. For the occasion, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Axwell involved Kings Of Tomorrow, which in 2001, together with Julia McKnight (vocal), released one of the most beautiful House records ever (listen to the original). In this 2024 version, the song is reinterpreted by one of the most iconic voices in the RnB world; of course, we are talking about Alicia Keys.
Despite this being a Remake, it is the second release of the year for SHM, and it seems it might be one of the most beautiful EDM songs of 2024. It will definitely be in the top 10 on our 2024 chart.
#FunFact: The song was released on streaming platforms a day before, despite the official release date in stores being 30 August 2024.
