Tuesday, October 18, 2022, this is the date that many of us have been waiting for months, maybe years, and which we now thought was no longer coming.
Summer is over, between festivals we realize that maybe it is time to take a look at those old tickets we received too long ago and which are still locked in a Nexive carton. We pull them out and realize that the next day at work we will have to ask for a leave of absence for next Tuesday, because in a little less than two weeks we are leaving for Milan to see the Swedish House Mafia!
To summarize the event to you to the fullest in a few lines, we would have to tell you only about the 3 Swedes and the excitement they gave us, but in doing so we would pass over some of the hot topics that we must necessarily dwell on:
First and therefore most important of course, the sound system. As expected, some minor shortcomings for an event of this type, especially compared to the cost of the ticket that made us expect something better.
With a ‘Parterre’ ticket (in front of the stage), one was able to enjoy the event in the best possible way, but if you were not among the lucky ones to grab the first tickets, you will have noticed that until the arrival of the protagonists it was difficult to enjoy good audio and even recognize Vintage Culture and Andrea Oliva.
Is this a technique to emphasize the guests? Who knows, for sure, the pre-evening was not to the liking of the sound, at least for those in the stands.
Moving on, we don’t think it’s possible that exactly after exactly a little more than half an hour of the arena opening, all the medium sizes of official merchandise such as M or L are already sold out.
To make a long story short, we came home with an overpriced pajama size XL…eh whatever!
Last but not least: we estimate Andrea Oliva, because he is a very good prospect and a good producer who will hopefully bring us surprises in the future, but using him as a replacement for Alesso, announcing it only a few days before the event, left us truly disappointed.
Complaints aside, for many Italians it was finally time to see the dream trio live. For the first time, we did not have to go to Tomorrowland or Ultra to see them, but they came to us, to Italy.
As for the show, honorable mention must be made of the set design: each participant was given a special bracelet, which, depending on the moment and track, shone with different light, creating a breathtaking atmosphere.
This was mixed with “The Circle”, chosen as a true symbol of the world tour of the Swedish House Mafia. This, which also fluttered and changed according to the moment and the track above the Swedes’ heads, joining flames and fireworks, created a spectacle never seen before.
Pure Entertainment
We still have goose bumps
As for the set itself, really nothing to say, by now we all know their tracks by heart, but we believe that they made an extra effort than necessary, and we noticed with pleasure, how they did not stop at mere presence, but also wanted to do a little something extra. Which was very much appreciated!
In conclusion, we believe that this day will remain in the hearts of many, and we hope that that “See you next time at San Siro,” said by Ingrosso to say goodbye, will really come true.
Thank you Swedish House Mafia for giving us this thrill!
