Don Diablo’s new record, which we also featured in our Best of Today #Release #369, comes with a story that deserves to be told, because it still carries the kind of magic that only music can create.

The Don Diablo we know is a natural talent scout who loves to take existing sounds and make them his own. He chose Plain Jane and created his own version to play during his tour in Saudi Arabia, a tour featuring high-profile guests such as Metro Boomin and Quavo. You get the idea of the sound we’re talking about, right?
But where is the news? As often happens, Don Diablo’s edit of Plain Jane was not originally intended for an official release. It was created solely as an edit to play during live shows. However, thanks to the incredible response from the crowd, Don Diablo went back into the studio, perfected it and decided to release it.
We are looking at a perfect blend of electronic and hip-hop sounds, and Don Diablo is no stranger to this kind of crossover. Do you remember “Go Home with a Stranger” with Wiz Khalifa?
All the signs suggest that Don Diablo’s new album, FLUX, will feature a very similar sound, although there is still no release date for the project. In the meantime, let’s enjoy this edit of “Plain Jane”.
