Little behind the market trend, Pioneer Dj finally presents an all-in-one solution “4” channels that really comes close to the classic solutions CDJ + Mixer present in all clubs in the world: XDJ-XZ
The XDJ-XZ is an almost stand-alone hybrid controller. It allows you to use two channels using two USB inputs as a source and then goes up to 4 channels in the MIDI version with its software sector or external allowing you to connect two external units (CDJ, XDJ, Turntable). Immediately compatible with RekordBox and Serato (from January 2020).
The real novelty of this new All-in-One by Pioneer is probably the mixer (which hopefully has also improved in audio quality compared to the over-sold DDJ-1000) that has on board 14 Beat FX, 6 Color FX, a small touchpad for modulation of the fx beat and 3 controls on the frequencies of the effects applied. The latter two functions inherited directly from the top of the range DJM 900 Nexus2.
A 7″ touch screen is located above the mixer, which will help the DJ in the search and use of the information of the songs in play. The rest remains unchanged, like a normal top of the range mixer: dual headphone input, dual microphone input combined Jack/XLR.
XDJ-XZ is equipped with a new 64-bit digital processor that ensures a higher audio quality and a dedicated equalizer on the master that will allow you to “color” the final result. There are also some exclusive features such as “Feedback Reducer” which should give a clear separation between the microphone source and the music.
Returning to the decks, the design is completely identical to that of the high-end CDJs, taking up all the essential functions of a professional djing. Inherited by the ddj-1000 are the two screen units placed on the jogs. There is also a pro dj link function with dedicated inputs on the back of the console that allow easy connection to external units.
The price of the new XDJ-XZ is 2.199 € – All info on the site Pioneer DJ Italia. See the official gallery.
