In October, there’s always a lot to talk about thanks to the various industry charts that tell us who the hottest, most supported, and most voted artists are at the moment.
There are some nice surprises this year in the Top 101 Producers compiled by 1001tracklists.com, the world’s reference site for festival, club, and radio show tracklists. Before getting into the actual ranking and insights, it’s worth remembering that:
The Top 101 Producers is a chart compiled by 1001tracklists.com based on statistics collected over the past year. Specifically, this chart includes artists whose tracks received the most plays in events/radio shows/podcasts between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024.
The big surprise this year is none other than John Summit. A true headliner who has secured a place of honor among the top Dance music producers over the years. Author of masterpieces like Where You Are, Human, and the 2024 hit “Shiver” (all tracks featuring the voice of Hayla), John Summit has touched the hearts of many DJs and has been the most played. His remix of Sweet Disposition also ranks well, with 457 supports.
To be honest, we are really happy about this shift in the podium of the Top 101 Producers 2024. It’s really tough to surpass David Guetta, who still comes in second with his endless stream of yearly releases. But John Summit’s hits, and once again, Hayla’s voice, are some of the best things Dance music has given us in recent years.
Following him are, as we said, David Guetta, who has been in the first position three times before, Dimitri Vegas, thanks to his countless collaborations, and of course, Tiesto in 4th place!
Any little Fun Fact before we let you check out the full chart: 22 nationalities are represented by the various artists on this list. The English are leading, followed by the Dutch and Americans. There are 15 new artists joining the magical 101 this year, and among the Italians, we have GENESI (#44) and Gabry Ponte (#56).
