Lost Frequencies, an artist that lives in the 3000

Lost Frequencies is an artist that lives in the year 3000.

Indeed, he is a real and unquestionably great artist. We met Lost Frequencies in the hot summer of 2014 when in the middle of August, the Belgian artist released “Are You With Me.” The song quickly became a hit and will pave the road toward new sounds, simple yet exceptional, and epic collaborations with artists like James Blunt.

We, EDM Lab, attended his live performance in Barcelona in 2017. Of that performance, we remember his kind soul and genuine passion for music. He quickly transferred it from the stage, where he was dancing on the console table, to the audience, a gigantic crowd. It was an incredible energy wave from a guy tanned by the hot Catalan sun.

It was almost an ultimate dedication to his past work. “Hey, are you ready for a new age of good music?!

In these years, LF released many songs and epic remixes. It might be redundant to mention them individually since they are well known given their popularity in every radio and playlist. For his 2022 tour that we covered here, the artist stopped at the Fabrique in Milan, where he went SOLD OUT on the occasion of Milan Music Week.

We forgot how trivial a traditional DJ set might be during the party. Indeed, Lost Frequencies performed live as he did at Tomorrowland 2022, but a drummer, pianist, and singer accompanied him on the stage. This allowed them to perform spectacular edits of his songs—simple sounds but modernized and used brilliantly with Electronic Rock influences. LF has a tremendous capacity to blend Dance with anything light and catchy.

Lost Frequencies is an artist that is well aware of his capacities and knows what to do and how to do it. He created his style, works on it, and improves it with every song he releases, remix after remix, earning his place among the best producers in the world. The crowd at the Fabrique in Milan welcomed LF and sang each hit.

Here are a few moments from the party recorded by our staff members.
