ID&T with 30 more companies are fighting for the Entertainment’s rights

The desire to come back to attend the live events, and the need to work for the insiders, are at the highest point. The recent ID&T‘s happenings prove it.

ID&T organizes events such as Mysteryland, Sensation, and Decibel Outdoor. It and 30 more companies, Friday 9 July 2021, opened a summary procedure against the Dutch government.

The reason is the new intensification of the restrictions to prevent the Covid-19 infection. These Dutch companies claimed the right to organize public events (music, sport, culture). These events must satisfy several requirements established by Fieldlab Events. This latter is the association that regulates and protects the rights and the conditions of events and manifestations.

The Dutch ministers tried to create a dialogue with the entertainment industry. The dialogue was focused on the safety of events at maximum capacity, without any restriction.

This dialogue, mediated by the Outbreak Management Team, responsible for managing the pandemic, was temporarily stopped due to the progressive diffusion of the Covid-19 Delta variant. The government decided to disallow events for more than a day with camping (like festivals) until the 1st of September. Therefore, ID&T and the other companies decided to continue with the summary procedure. Regarding the daytime events without camping, the government will not give regulations until the 13th of August.

Stay tuned for new progress of the story!
