One of the biggest collabs of the year, if not the biggest, is finally out. We’re talking about “Our Time”, the first-ever official release by three global electronic music giants: Afrojack, Martin Garrix, and David Guetta!
The track has been played many times during their shows at Ushuaïa, first premiered at AMF in 2024, and then heard across the world. “Our Time” is a massive progressive anthem with that classic EDM sound, the same one that made this genre go mainstream.
While Martin Garrix (who’s back releasing on Spinnin’ after more than 10 years) keeps dropping EDM tracks with this vibe, David Guetta and Afrojack had already announced they wanted to return to epic-sounding records.
The EDM world is going through big changes right now, with sounds like Tech House, Afro House, and melodic Techno taking over. But maybe… it’s time to bring back those big melodic synths that ruled since 2012 and made us dream.
“Our Time” is the perfect mix of all that.
Afrojack says the song represents “four generations,” telling a shared story between him, Garrix, Guetta, and Amél. Garrix shared how proud he is of the final result, while Guetta highlighted the team’s dedication, even with vocal details, despite scheduling challenges. Amél, the fourth member of this super collab, shared his excitement to work with his idols and thanked Afrojack for discovering him.
“Our Time” isn’t just a summer banger, it’s a strong statement: building the future of EDM by honoring a shared legacy.
