Armin Van Buuren remixes Bon Jovi. This is now write in the book

And if the world of rock and the world of EDM came together for once? That’s exactly what the great Armin Van Buuren showed us almost a year ago when he brought an international superstar to the main stage of Ultra Music Festival, none other than Bon Jovi.

keep the faithIn an EPIC set full of ID tracks, this Keep The Faith was a true highlight. It’s an excellently reworked version of the original single, which was released in 1992 as part of the album of the same name. A record that is light-years away from EDM sounds, but only a great artist like Armin Van Buuren could modernize and bring into the world of electronic music.

The whole thing happened in a fun way, as Armin himself explains in this short interview. In short, after a meeting in Los Angeles between Armin and Bon Jovi’s manager, the idea of a remix was born. At first, it seemed almost impossible due to how different these two worlds are. But sometime later, Armin got a call from the same manager, who was amazed and said: “Jon never calls me, but this time he did, and he says your remix is spectacular.”

Armin said: “Reworking this track was an incredible honor on its own, but having Jon Bon Jovi join me on stage at Ultra was a once-in-a-lifetime moment.” “Rock music has always inspired me, and I’ve been a Bon Jovi fan for ages, so this was truly special. I’m thrilled the track is finally out in the world, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”

In short, even a legend like Armin was blown away by all this. It even sounds strange to say Armin Van Buuren ft. Bon Jovi, right? And yet, it happened—it’s now part of history.
