Remember DVBBS? That super bold duo that made us jump around ten years ago with tracks like TSUNAMI is back on the scene with a totally different kind of song, featuring a very special guest and a beautiful story behind it. The track is called “Move A Little Closer”, featuring the voice of Abi Flynn.
It all started from an online connection: DVBBS were immediately struck by Abi Flynn’s deep, hypnotic voice, and also by her touching story of rising again after beating cancer.
From there, they started working on what today has become a real gem: a soulful, powerful, and euphoric track that already took over TikTok with millions of views and over 4,000 sound uses.
“The moment I heard Abi’s voice and learned her story, I knew she was special,” said the duo. “We’ve been working on this song since last spring, and knowing that thousands of people already call it their summer anthem is a huge reward.”
At the Escapade Festival in Canada, DVBBS flew her in from Europe for a live surprise in front of 30,000 people: the first live performance of “Move A Little Closer,” welcomed with huge excitement by the crowd and followed by a beautiful afterparty.
“Flying across the world to perform with DVBBS was one of the top moments of my career,” said Abi Flynn. “I get messages every day from people telling me how much this song means to them. For me, as a cancer survivor, writing dance music is a form of healing.”
