John Summit announces new album ‘CTRL ESCAPE’

John Summit is ready to open a new chapter in his career with the announcement of CTRL ESCAPE, his highly anticipated new album set for release on April 15.

This follows an outstanding 2025 and comes after exploring the duality between chaos and control in his debut album Comfort in Chaos, released in 2024. Summit returns with an even more personal and narrative-driven project, telling the story of a real transformation: from office desk to DJ booth, from 9–5 routine to the liberating energy of the rave.

CTRL ESCAPE is born from this very contrast. The album reframes the tension between daily monotony and collective euphoria, turning music into a tool of connection and belonging. Not just an escape, but a shared force capable of uniting thousands of people under the same drop.

The concept of the new album already comes to life in the first single, “LIGHTS GO OUT”, which we also featured in our Best of Today #Release #341, accompanied by visuals that symbolically portray the shift from office cubicles to strobe lights in the club. The track opens with the magnetic chorus “where do we go when the lights go out,” before exploding into a tight mix of tech house and trap influences.

Musically, CTRL ESCAPE promises to push beyond genre boundaries, meaning we can expect a sound different from what we have known so far. Teasers have already hinted at collaborations, including Feid and Julia Wolf. To build anticipation, Summit will release a new single every other Wednesday until release day.

Between his Ibiza residency (which we covered here), Ultra closing sets, and sold-out festivals around the world, John Summit is heading into another incredible year — and CTRL ESCAPE could become his most ambitious project yet.
