It’s that time of year again when the highly anticipated A State of Trance Mix arrives from Armada Music, but this year, there are some major changes.
Running since 2006 and now reaching its 23rd edition, the A State of Trance mix series has always been divided into three main chapters, each carrying a different identity and musical direction.
For the very first time since 2006, the iconic formats On the Beach, In the Club, and Who’s Afraid of 138?! will be replaced by three brand-new concepts.
Here are the new divisions for the A State of Trance Mix 2026:
Mix 1: Pulse — featuring all the newest collaborations from Armin van Buuren. Among them are collaborations with Argy, Andrew Bayer, and Skytech. These are just a few examples, as many more are included in the mix.
Mix 2: Frequency — delivering peak-time club energy with tracks from artists such as Amy Wiles, Farius, and SUPERSTRINGS, alongside the official 2026 A State of Trance anthem ‘Always You’.
Mix 3: Energy — for those wanting an even harder sound, the third mix features names like KI/KI, Lilly Palmer, The Rocketman, as well as rising stars including S3PPA, DEVERAUX, LAWTON, and Deckers.
Once again, the annual A State of Trance mix promises not to disappoint fans. The format may have evolved, but its spirit remains exactly what listeners have loved for years. As always, the entire compilation is mixed by the Armada boss himself.
