LP Giobbi is an American DJ/producer, jazz pianist, and activist who has taken over the global dance scene with her unique style that mixes house music, jazz elements, and live piano performances. She is also the founder of Femme House, a non-profit organization that promotes gender equity in electronic music.
Leah Chisholm, that’s her real name, was discovered by chance in 2019 in Milan while opening a Sofi Tukker concert. She studied piano at UC Berkeley, then moved into the world of electronic music and made her way thanks to her unique style, clearly mixing her piano background with house music, now known as piano-house.
That night when she opened the Sofi Tukker concert was a big surprise for us. We didn’t know her before. Among the amazement of the crowd, we saw a girl switching between piano and DJ decks, dancing and jumping during her opening set. The energy was incredible, almost magical. It was a great discovery.
