We’ve reached the end of the year, and now it’s finally time to draw some conclusions. It has been a year that, as we’ve said many times, will leave a strong mark from a musical point of view. We moved from tech house to melodic techno, through the explosion of UK House and the return of the Progressive sound. There have been many outstanding records, which we also summed up in our Top 10 and in the Top 20 of #NightVibe.
But who was the DJ who released the most records in 2025?
Analyzing an entire year of releases means going beyond feelings, tastes, and prejudices and focusing on the numbers. For 2025, we reviewed all 52 weeks of the “Best of Today #Release”, the format through which EDM Lab showcases its weekly selection of new Dance and EDM releases. The result is an interesting snapshot of the artists who, more than others, truly shaped the music scene of the year based on the number of official releases.
Even if the answer may seem quite obvious, one clear fact emerges: David Guetta is the DJ with the highest number of appearances in 2025. With 39 total appearances, the French producer confirms himself as one of the most prolific and versatile artists, capable of moving between radio hits, pop collaborations, and club-oriented remixes without ever leaving the weekly release radar.
In second place, we find Armin van Buuren, with 27 appearances. A number that tells the story of an extremely active 2025 for the Dutch DJ, increasingly skilled at blending trance, melodic techno, and progressive influences, while maintaining a constant presence throughout the year. He also released an album with 51 tracks (“Breathe”), later reissued with 44 remix versions. Additionally, he released “Piano”, a fully acoustic album.
Closing the podium is Tiësto, with 16 appearances, confirming a well-established path between experimentation and a return to his roots, without giving up strong exposure on digital platforms.
Just outside the podium, we find names such as Alok, Martin Garrix, and John Summit, all protagonists of a 2025 full of collaborations and strategic releases. Artists like Calvin Harris, Robin Schulz, Hardwell, and MEDUZA complete the Top 10.
These numbers do not represent a quality ranking, but rather show who consistently released music throughout the year. And in an increasingly fast-paced music industry, this is an important signal.
