Since his appearance in the EDM scene, the founder of STMPD RCRDS has always been the conqueror of one primacy after the other. It is just with a new, paramount primacy that Martin Garrix starts his 2021, achieved with the historical “In The Name Of Love” (reviewed by us), in collaboration with Bebe Rexha.
The track, released on 29 June 2016, has just reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. Martin Garrix has further raised the bar, becoming the first Dutch producer to reach these dizzying numbers.
This result is also a fundamental goal for Bebe Rexha since she joins the club of “Spotify’s One Billion Streams” together with the young producer. This group is quite narrow if you think about the countless quantity of songs you can find on Spotify. Between this musical multitude, the tracks that have reached one billion streams barely exceed the hundred. Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Drake, Ed Sheeran, and Ariana Grande are some artists who were already part of this list.
Let’s end up this article mentioning another primacy of the Dutch wonder, always connected to “In The Name Of Love.” After the publication, that happened after the first closing set of Martin Garrix at Tomorrowland, the track was performed live during the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Martin Garrix, at the age of twenty, just turned, became the first Dutch artist who took part in this famous show.
