If there is one show that, in recent years, has managed to unite lovers of classical music and electronic music alike, it is undoubtedly Tomorrowland’s Symphony of Unity.
Anyone lucky enough to have witnessed one of its performances at Tomorrowland knows the feeling: the lights dim, the Freedom Stage transforms into a grand theatre, and suddenly some of the most iconic anthems in EDM history come to life through the sound of more than 60 world-class musicians.
This year, the project takes another major step forward with “Horizon”, the most ambitious production Symphony of Unity has ever created. The world premiere will take place at Tomorrowland Belgium, where the ensemble will perform four times on the Freedom Stage across the festival’s two weekends before embarking on a European tour that will also stop in Italy.
On September 25, Symphony of Unity will arrive at the magnificent Arena di Verona, transforming one of Italy’s most iconic landmarks into a temple of electronic music, beautifully blended with the timeless soul of classical music.
The idea of hearing the melodies that helped shape Tomorrowland’s history inside a nearly 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheatre is simply breathtaking. It is the perfect meeting point between tradition and innovation, where the grandeur of a full symphony orchestra embraces the tracks that have inspired millions of people beneath festival stages around the world.
