#Release | Armin Van Buuren & Gryffin – What Took You So Long

Armin Van Buuren & GryffinAfter keeping fans on edge with social media teases, where much talk circulated about shared studio sessions, Armin Van Buuren & Gryffin have finally released their debut collaboration. Last Friday, March 22, 2024, they unveiled “What Took You So Long” to the world.

Trance king Armin Van Buuren and the immensely talented cross-genre musician Gryffin met right at the intersection of their musical roots. The former, after numerous (always successful) experiments, the latter having built a status in the Future Bass / Pop scene. The former has already showcased a return to these musical roots in his very recent album “Breathe In” (we talked about it here), the latter who, speaking of albums, has recently announced the release of the third one.

What Took You So Long was also played on our radio show “Best of Today #Release #251,” and you can catch the exact moment when Armin Van Buuren announced his track here.

Two worlds, two artists meeting in high bpm, in the galloping bassline, and the typical Trance lead. Above all, two artistic paths converge in a carefully chosen vocal, guiding us throughout the track and leaving no doubt that this, too, will be a hit.
