“Lay Your Head On Me” can already be described as the most amazing collaboration of the year. In fact, we never thought we’d hear the voice of Marcus Mumford, front-man of the world’s most beloved folk-rock band, on a record of Major Lazer. Evidently the project of the trio led by Diplo, immediately appealed to the singer with dual citizenship, English and American. The two sound worlds represented by folk and afrobeat, seem to blend rather well. Mø also collaborated on the writing and you’ve certainly recognized her as a backing vocalist.
For Major Lazer “Lay Your Head On Me” is the second track released in 2020. It’s definitely the most intimate and mature one and we prefer it to the recently released Latin-pop songs.
