It is Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s fourth collaboration, which arrives during the hot summer of 2024, almost to fill a void like it did last year with Miracle.
Despite their past successes, this is unexpected. You might wonder why. In 2023, with Miracle, the trilogy was over, and we could not expect that Calvin and Ellie would be back in the studio so early. The reality is that both enjoy working together, and their successes can only confirm this. So, here it is: premiered at the TRNSMT Festival 2024 in Glasgow and then sung live by Ellie Goulding in Ibiza, ‘Free’ is finally available.
Once again, it is a “speed” sound for Calvin Harris, but it is classy and always welcome. Ellie’s vocals are confident, and the record will be remembered exactly like the previous three collaborations.
