Just over a year after her debut with DUSK, HAYLA returns with DARK, her sophomore studio album, available since July 31, as previously featured in our Best of Today #Release.
The project marks a significant artistic evolution for the British singer, moving away from her dance-oriented sound to explore a more personal and alternative musical landscape. Through ethereal atmospheres, evocative harmonies, and deeply personal songwriting, DARK explores themes of grief, loss, human connection, and hope.
Unlike the many hits born from her collaborations with some of electronic music’s biggest names, DARK is a completely solo project, placing HAYLA’s voice and deeply personal songwriting at the heart of the record, resulting in her most personal work to date.
The album was preceded by the singles “HEAL”, “ENOUGH”, and “EASIER”, all highlighting HAYLA’s remarkable vocals and further establishing her as one of the most authentic and compelling artists in today’s electronic music scene.
