The list of the most streamed songs on Spotify has a new number one. Indeed, the most listened artist is The Weeknd with his Blinding Lights. When writing this, the song counts reached 3,337,833,361 streams and passed Ed Sheeran.
The Weeknd is famous worldwide, with a cross-age style rich in modern influences but several references to the ’80s. He is liked both in the Pop world and the Dance world. Furthermore, recently The Weeknd collaborated with the Swedish House Mafia (check the article here) for the official soundtrack of Avatar 2.
Let’s not forget about his YouTube successes. Indeed, between official video and official audio, The Weeknd reached 1.38 billion views only for Blinding Lights.
