It’s nomination time for the 2026 Grammy Awards, the 68th edition of the world’s most prestigious music prize. As always, we’ll focus only on the categories related to the Dance/Electronic music scene.
The nominations were revealed last Friday, November 7, and include songs, recordings, and releases published between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025.
The award ceremony will take place on February 1, 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Before diving into the Pop and Dance categories, here is some news about the upcoming edition:
Two new categories have been added: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. Did we really need them? Maybe yes, since the category updates reflect the ongoing evolution of the music industry, including packaging, album art, and direct-to-fan releases.
SPOILER: One of this year’s leading names is Kendrick Lamar, who tops the list with 9 nominations.
The 2026 edition will once again be broadcast by CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
