The pioneer event of all major festivals, coinciding with the annual Miami Music Week in its main American edition.
This is the closing event of the Winter Music Conference and the ultimate American mecca for EDM festivals. As always, it kicks off with the Miami edition, but this year too, there will be many editions around the world, covering every continent.

Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland is probably the most famous, talked-about, and loved electronic music festival in the world.
As the top European festival, it features two weekends in Belgium every year. In recent years, the Brazilian and French editions have also gained huge popularity. The French edition, in particular, marks the start of the festival season.

EDC: Electric Daisy Carnival
The biggest and most important festival in the United States, along with UMF.

Creamfields Festival
One of the biggest European festivals, along with Tomorrowland. It first expanded to different locations in England and later worldwide.

Sònar Festival
More than just an electronic music festival, this is one of Spain’s top multimedia events, hosting three editions this year. It brings together all electronic music genres and also features experimental and avant-garde artists.

Burning Man Festival
One of the oldest festivals in this guide. It takes place in a city that exists only for the duration of the event. It is the most extreme festival, based on self-sufficiency and community. Set in a true desert, Burning Man allows anyone to bring their art. But it’s not a festival for everyone.

World Club Dome Festival
One of the biggest festivals in Germany. Organized by the radio station BigCityBeats, it has been held in different versions across Germany, later expanding to South Korea and other locations outside of Germany.

AMF: Amsterdam Music Festival
One of the most important Dutch festivals and definitely the biggest European festival at the end of the year. It takes place during the Amsterdam Dance Event and hosts the ceremony where the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs ranking is announced each year.

Parookaville Festival
Another massive German festival. Parookaville was created just a few years ago but has already become hugely popular thanks to its highly detailed and immersive city-like design.

A State Of Trance
The ultimate festival for Trance music lovers, named after the iconic radio show by the king of Trance: Armin van Buuren. Do we even need to mention the headliner? No, because every year the lineup of “industry colleagues” gets richer.

Sziget Festival
Another multi-genre festival, this time in Hungary. It takes place every year on an island in the middle of the Danube River and is one of the biggest and most complex European festivals.

Medusa Sunbeach Festival
A Spanish multi-genre festival that started a few years ago but has already won over the audience, reaching impressive attendance numbers. It is one of the few festivals in this guide held on a beach.

Awakenings Festival
