The Dutch DJ and producer Tiesto signed the first official remix of Aqua‘s “Barbie Girl” for the twenty-sixth anniversary of the song.
The original version of the song, in 1997, reached the #7 position in the Billboard Hot 100, achieving over 9 billion records sold. Today, the Danish group can boast over ten million monthly listeners on Spotify. The song “Barbie Girl” reached 400 million streams on Spotify.
The remix by Tiesto was published at the same time as the Barbie film. Also Dance The Night by Dua Lipa and Watati by Karol G are part of the soundtrack of Barbie.
