I write this article almost with tears in my eyes, remembering the emotions of that night is something really powerful. I was there, among a huge crowd of dreamers waiting for one thing: the Reunion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2013, the year the Swedish House Mafia<\/a> broke up, right there in Miami, each year there\u2019s been someone spreading rumors<\/em> about their return, about a reunion<\/strong>, which often turned out to be just a media stunt to generate clicks and hype among fans. But this year, the clues were too many. In our articles<\/a>, we\u2019ve often expressed our thoughts and the reasons that led us to believe that this year would be the right year<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

rather disappointing closing set by Axwell & Ingrosso<\/a> the previous Friday, the atmosphere started heating up… Everyone in Miami knew what was about to happen and was in a state of mixed anxiety and happiness: you could see it in taxis, feel it on the streets, sense it in clubs\u2014there was only one topic of conversation. The Instagram account of the popular clothing brand Palm Angels<\/a> posted some suspicious photos showing a giant mural with the words SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA in the Wynwood district of Miami, and stickers were everywhere, the hype was sky-high.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the last DJ set of Sunday, March 25<\/strong>, David Guetta<\/a> ends his set 20 minutes early with Sean Paul<\/a> and Becky G<\/a> performing live on stage to yet another radio hit, a sign of a continuously declining EDM era, but it\u2019s Guetta himself who announces that something EPIC is about to happen<\/strong>. Guetta leaves the console, the main stage goes completely dark, and an enormous cloud of smoke starts to cover everything. The side LED walls display the words “No Photos” as the crew begins dismantling the console. (See our photo)<\/p>\n

Several minutes pass, the crowd is in a reverent silence broken only by a few weak chants of “SWEDISH… HOUSE… MAFIA…<\/strong>“. The old console is gone, and a new, taller one is set up, almost as if to say: Everyone needs to be able to see what\u2019s about to happen. More smoke, more waiting, anxiety, fear, joy\u2014it\u2019s been over half an hour. A large LED wall is mounted behind the console, and two rows of flamethrowers are installed. The hype is huge, really. We were almost in the middle of Bayfront Park, aware that there was an immense crowd behind us.<\/p>\n
