So, unfortunately, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">also the earnings of the <strong>EDM Industry<\/strong>\u00a0are significantly decreased.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">With its annual report on the <strong>EDM<\/strong> <strong>Industry<\/strong>&#8216;s profits, the <strong>IMS<\/strong> (<strong>International Music Summit<\/strong>) explains that 2020 has been an unsuccessful year. This study shows us that the global market value decreased from<strong> 7,3 billion dollars in 2019 to 3,4 billion dollars in 2020<\/strong>. After the steady growth of the past ten years, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in 2020, profits fell by <strong>54%<\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is expected that also 2021&#8217;s revenues will not be enough to recover these losses. However, we are noticing new positive trends, mostly about festivals. According to the <strong>Skiddle\u00a0<\/strong>platform,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the value of tickets sold during March 2021 exceeded the total value of 2020.<\/span> <strong>A year later, the value of tickets sold increased by<\/strong> <strong>3999%<\/strong>. According to the report, between 2021 and 2022, worldwide live music should recover between 145% and 160% of its growth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.edm-lab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/EDM-Industry.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18945 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.edm-lab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/EDM-Industry.jpg\" alt=\"EDM Industry\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.edm-lab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/EDM-Industry.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.edm-lab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/EDM-Industry-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Moreover, there are other encouraging numbers. The digital experience of music increased its earnings. Indeed, the recording music market <strong>grew up by 7% between 2019 and 2020<\/strong>. The vinyl record <strong>grew up by 24%<\/strong>. The DJ&#8217;s equipment market <strong>grew up by 23%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Digital platforms such as <strong>Beatport<\/strong> and <strong>Twitch<\/strong> grew up both as users and as profits. The Beatport&#8217;s earnings <strong>grew up by 33%<\/strong> in a year.
