A man, a living legend. A radio show, the history of electronic music. Armin Van Buuren<\/a> celebrates episode number 1000 of A State of Trance: 20 years of trance music, 20 years of the radio show.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have already expressed our opinion many times about this format so well-established. Armin\u00a0confirms to be the brilliant diamond both of EDM field and of this one, referring to the radio world, with very few competitors.<\/p>\n

\"ASOT<\/a><\/p>\n

Whether you may dislike the DJ or the whole genre, you cannot question his work, career, and results. A superior entity (because you cannot define him just a simple man!) who actually manages to remain on the cutting edge, able to innovate, amaze, and create, well: a myth of electronic music of all time.<\/p>\n

Episode number 1000 of\u00a0A State of Trance<\/strong> would have been celebrated in a completely different way. You know that episodes 700<\/em>,\u00a0800<\/em>,\u00a0900<\/em>\u00a0brought to world tours, appearances at the most important music festivals of the world and other projects which just\u00a0Armin<\/a> with his team managed to realize so far, but episode 1000 was the unluckiest one, due to the tragic pandemic which surrounds us since almost a year. Anyway, Armin does not fall.<\/p>\n

5 hours of an exclusive radio show, completely in LIVE streaming worldwide<\/strong>, on all the streaming platforms, reaching crazy numbers such as\u00a0over 70 thousand users<\/strong> who simultaneously watched ASOT 1000. During the episode, which was 100% mixed lively in streaming by Armin (such a genius of radio shows!), there was also a Zoom live call to interact from all over the globe.<\/p>\n

Episode #1000 talks about 20 years of Trance music<\/u><\/span> in a chart of\u00a050 tracks <\/strong>that collects the essence of the genre: from Robert Miles\u2019<\/em>\u00a0Children<\/a> to\u00a0Adagio for Strings<\/a> passing through Man On The Run<\/a>, Waiting<\/a>, Shivers<\/a> (that is at the<\/strong> #1 position<\/strong>) and other Trance masterpieces such as\u00a0Above & Beyond<\/em>\u2019s Saving Light<\/a> and Sun & Moon<\/a>. You can relive these 300 minutes of pure energy and melody thanks to the Spotify playlist.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"ASOT<\/a>ASOT 1000 ends as it begins: amazingly<\/span>. In fact, together with his reliable partner Ruben de Ronde<\/a>, Armin breaks the radio silence: puts the vinyl of track #50 of his chart on the turntable, puts down the needle, and starts the magic of his special ranking<\/strong>. In the same way, he ends with disc #1 interviewing shortly before Susana<\/a>, the famous Shivers’ voice. We remember all this live!<\/p>\n

He chooses to celebrate the target with a double CD containing 108 tracks<\/strong>\u00a0coming out on the next 5th<\/sup> of February, which can be pre-ordered. But surprises have not finished yet: Armin announces he will celebrate episode #1000 on the next 3 and 4 of September at Utrecht<\/strong>. It will be a unique weekend that will let relive the past of Trance music during the former night, and during the latter, its future instead. It is known as a \u201cOne Time Only<\/em>\u201d to which you cannot be absent (tickets in advance from the end of January 2021).<\/p>\n

To conclude ASOT 1000, throwing in a little jab, Armin announces live to the world that\u00a0ASOT will not finish <\/strong>its path but will go on forever, and also for this one, together with his team, will launch a special web radio;<\/span> a format 24\/7 on YouTube, during which it will be possible to revive the best Armin\u2019s DJ sets, exclusive charts and many 100% Trance contents!<\/p>\n
