I Need You is an easy listening track, out on Generation Smash, sub-label by Smash The House dedicated to new talents and that usually presented harder pieces. This time, thanks to the latest release by Flaremode, Highup, Boust, the Belgian label exploits the tropical sound with a guitar riff and a sensual vocal for “I need You.” The song is a candidate to become the perfect soundtrack for the Summer 2020 thanks to playlists and radio airplay. What do you think?
So now, exclusively for EDM Lab, we will interview the artists behind this track:
– “I Need You” has been released by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Label Generation Smash,” what you can tell us about this song?
Highup: My goal was to produce something anyone could listen to, no matter what age or where they come from. Been an honor for me to release this song on the n.1 DJs in the world label Smash The House, and I’m already working on a follow-up song for them.
Flaremode: This is our 5th release on Smash The House, and for us is a big achievement. It is also the first time for us to release something “chill” on this label, so we were a bit worried about how people would react listening to it. This is not our typical festival-ready release. But in the end, we have received a lot of positive feedbacks from our audience, and we really appreciate their support, no matter what we do.
– What are your plans for the future?
Highup: Keep producing music and go back to touring as soon the pandemic would be over. For now, I will work hard in my studio to bring something new for my fans.
Flaremode: This month been quite busy for us. We got the chance to play our first live-streamed show in Bangkok from a helipad. We were amazed by the production level, and we got thousands of views online. At the same time, we have released “I Need You” together with a collaboration track made with Thomas Gold and Danny Ores titled “Fellas” that is also going really well on Spotify. In the next month, we will release a lot of new music, and we will be focusing on our social media presence, especially on Instagram. Can’t wait to show you what we are working on 🙂
