Nicky Romero presents the alias “Monocule” with new EP

MonoculeNicky Romero debuts with his new alter ego Monocule and releases the EP “Monocule Volume 1” for Protocol Recordings.

During his famous career, Romero has accustomed us to progressive and avant-garde sounds, while with this new project, he will be focused on darker and underground music. The EP is composed of 3 tracks. The first, “Time to Save,” together with Tim van Werd and Mosiman, is a record with darker sounds, accompanied by the voice of the French producer. “Close To Me” instead offers movie melodies on a deep bassline, all accompanied by breathtaking lyrics. The final track, “Waiting For You,” with intense grooves, takes us back to the clubs before the pandemic.

Nicky Romero is considered one of the most influential producers in the EDM music world, known by most for his great hits as “Legacy” (with the Krewella) and the legendary single “I Could Be The One,” along with the late Avicii. He immediately showed great talent and a remarkable ability to create charismatic and thick tracks, and this allowed him to collaborate with the likes of David Guetta, Kygo, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and many others.

He recently debuted this summer with his ultra-modern live streaming “Another World” and now announced the Monocula project. Romero has once again demonstrated his ability to keep up with the times; he and the whole family Protocol are to be watched!
