Martin Garrix, double releases in two weeks under the alias

For Martin Garrix, 2024 has been a bit quiet. Few releases from him, but all very good.

And there’s not much to complain about. In fact, we appreciate that the 4-time #1 DJ in the world has released only a few tracks, unlike other artists who count dozens and dozens of releases, or even a track a week since the beginning of the year. Among his 2024 releases, we can count Empty, Carry You, Smile, Wherever You Are, and the IDEM EP.

In recent weeks, however, Martin Garrix has returned to the spotlight, or rather, his two aliases GRX and YTRAM have.

The first release, dated October 4th, is “Empire.” A collaboration with Brazilian DJ producer NUZB, whose tracks we often feature in our Best of Today #Release. The track isn’t entirely new; it sat on the shelf for 2 years. In 2022, during the Top 100 DJ Mag awards ceremony, which Martin himself won and was held at the Empire State Building in New York, the track was played during his spectacular set, which you can watch here.

ytram the gameThe second release is a soft track, in the style of “Smile” mentioned earlier. It’s called “The Game” and was released last Friday, October 11th. The track is a collaboration with LADANZA on vocals. There’s no information on this artist or artists, who seem to be shrouded in mystery. As for the track, we can tell you that it’s also not entirely new. It was already played by Garrix at the iconic RAI Amsterdam set in 2023.

While we wait for another big release like “Gravity,” which will come this Friday, we can just enjoy these tracks under Martin Garrix’s various aliases.
