Oliver Heldens is back on the scene as HI-LO to present his brand-new version of Depeche Mode’s recent hit, ‘Speak To Me’ out now on Columbia Records.
HI-LO crafts this remix using the original Depeche Mode melody as a base, building a thick wall of techno over the top and alongside Dave Gahan’s signature vocals.
Oliver respects the poignant message within the lyrics and allows them to remain a focal point while flowing through an entirely new instrumental vehicle. Depeche Mode HI-LO Remix shows us his own twist on it with a more melodic approach than the usual peak-time techno stuff + warm-sounding bass synth pads and some heavy drums to take it to a different realm.
