Let’s begin this 2022 by introducing one of the most talented Italian artists. Today, EDM Lab focuses on FUTUREQUEST.
“Flowers” is FUTUREQUEST’s debut single. It is a collaboration with the producer Cherez and the singer Tønix.
It is a Melodic Techno/Deep House track with a touch of Trance. The producers carefully used arpeggios and unique chord synth stabs. The dreamlike vocal of Tønix has the gentle and troubled Lana del Rey-style intensity. It further helps the contrast between darkness and light.
“Flowers” anticipate the debut album: “Awakening.” FUTUREQUEST wants to sum up his music journey, stylistically retracing his steps.
Who is FUTUREQUEST?
His name is Dario Cicala. He is a musician, composer, and visual artist born in 1988. Dario started to play piano in childhood, then approached with sequencers. In 2015, he produced the instrumental of “Petrolio” by Cranio Randagio (gold certified). In 2016, he graduated with BA (Hons.) in Audio Production at SAE Institute Milano. Then, he co-founded “Sartoria Sonora,” a collective in Torino. He produced several soundtracks for advertisements, films, and documentaries. Among these are BMW Italia and Governance. In 2021, Dario decided to dedicate himself only to his new alter ego: FUTUREQUEST.
