Armin Van Buuren and Steve Aoki together for a festival track

It is one of the Dream Collabs, but many people are arguing. We are talking about the newest track by Armin Van Buuren and Steve Aoki: Music Means Love Forever.

The title is exceptional, philosophical, and profound. But it seems to us that the song has missed its release date. The sounds of Music Means Love Forever are too old school. A festival track in a period where there are no festivals. And, to be honest, we were expecting much more from them.

Music Means Love ForeverHowever, instead of focusing on what is wrong with this track, let us focus on the positive aspects. First, Armin keeps making music other than trance, of which he is the undiscussed leader. On the other hand, Steve Aoki, among NFTs and a Pokémon card cafeteria, finds the time to produce songs in a “party boy” style. Second, the video clip tells a story of friendship and passion shared among the (very) few events in this period—frames of pure fun that we have been missing for a long time.

Out of curiosity, the song has two similar videos but with a different intro, respectively published on the Youtube channels of both DJs. Indeed, Armin’s Journey and Steve’s Journey tell the life on the tour before the public appearance during the live set.
