The week just ended, leaving us with the #release of an important and highly anticipated album, “Music Is The Weapon” by Major Lazer.
Our focus on the album brings us and extract two: the first is QueLoQue, a collab with Paloma Mami, which is a track in full style Major which includes moombahton sounds with very explicit and catchy lyrics not suitable for the faint of heart. Before this album, unknown to us, Paloma is an American singer, class ’99 who chose her alias “Mami” inspired by the nickname of Drake’s Instagram profile, her favorite artist.
The second track that we captured from the new album is: “Hell and High Water“, also, in this case, the sounds are typical of the MJ style, but the touch of Diplo is more accentuated and the voice of Alessia Cara goes perfectly with the harmonic rounds, a record probably destined to enter the radio airplay.
Will this new Major Lazer album bring a breath of fresh music to the radio? A sound that is certainly not new or revolutionary but that is very nice to listen to again.
