Nearly ten years after ‘True Colors,’ Zedd recently revealed in an interview with USA Today that there’s a new album in the works, and it will be something special.
“the most genuine and deeply personal album I’ve ever made.”
The award-winning producer spoke those words. The work will be very intimate and personal, representing a new chapter in Zedd’s career. However, the producer also reflects on the modern music world, which differs from the second decade of the 2000s.
“I miss the days when albums meant something and could give you a deeper experience than just a few random songs put together, which I feel many albums these days lack; there’s not a story behind them. In my career, I’ve achieved more than I could have ever dreamed of achieving, so I just wonder what would be the point of making an album if it wasn’t to do something extraordinary and honest and give the fans the experience I desire and that I rarely find these days.”
These are profound and mature thoughts that should make many current producers reflect. As of now, there’s no definite news on the release date of this new album by Zedd; we only know it should be out this year. There isn’t even a title available. We at EDM Lab will, of course, keep you updated.
