As many of you know, the residents of Downtown Miami, the historic location of the Ultra Music Festival, have never been too happy to host the world’s premier electronic music festival. In the past, we told you about the various legal happenings that in 2019 led Ultra to physically move a few kilometers away to Virginia Key, an edition in which we were present and that we reported HERE.
The events of 2020 and 2021did not occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They should have seen the return to Bayfront Park, just in downtown Miami, but this alleged presence was always on edge, at least until now.
There now appears to be an official agreement between Ultra and the president of the Miami Downtown Neighbors Alliance that reads at the bottom:
we are pleased to have reached an agreement that addresses many of the issues that have impacted Downtown Miami residents during previous Ultra events. We believe that this agreement will allow Ultra and its neighbors to co-exist and will highlight Downtown Miami as “One Community for All”, and a great place to live, work and play.
In other words: the Ultra Music Festival will continue its journey at the historic location, preserving the nature of the park, respecting and monitoring the noise emitted during the festival, better managing traffic during the event, and striving to bring less disruption to the residents of Downtown Miami.
So, there’s a deal. Ultra Music Festival 2022 will be held at Bayfront Park next 25, 26 and 27 March..
