Major Lazer proposes a VR tour

Recently, “Music Is The Weapon,” the new album by Major Lazer, has been released, and we talked about it here. Now, it is time to talk about their tour. On 18 November, Major Lazer will repropose their worldwide timetable through a very particular live streaming service: the ArcRunner VR.

The trio will perform on Facebook to create a unique show. The group composed of Diplo, Walshy Fire, and Ape Drums, planned a tour made of fifty shows across 11 pages before the pandemic COVID-19. After eight months, the current situation has made everyone reflect on moving forward with their career, pushing them to seek out new innovative alternatives.

“We really love what we do. We love our collaborators and performing with them is what we really want. I hope that this will get to our supporters also in this new VR adventure.”

In an attempt to stay connected – but safe – with their fans, the group managed to organize something new and never seen before. The show will be aired Wednesday, 18th November 2020. The Supersphere and Oculus services on Facebook enable a full configuration to enjoy an unprecedented scenography. By using ArcRunner, there will be possible to recreate each element of the real tour (scenography, lighting, and the finely detailed stage) with the highest precision to ensure the show at its 100%.

So, we only have to wait!
