Martin Solveig said “Hello” to the dancefloor

They say that retiring at the highest point of your career can be a great way to leave an even better memory. And we like to believe that theory, because maybe it’s the same one Martin Solveig is following now that he has announced he’s leaving the stage.

Martin Solveig (F)

Yes, we danced to the best hits thanks to the sound of one of the most important French DJs and producers in the world. No, we won’t even list a single track, because if you really don’t know them, you’re in the wrong place. Martin Solveig is a Dance music icon and he always will be. And even if this might not be “the highest point of his career,” like we said before, it’s definitely a moment when the memory of this artist is strong.

Let’s be honest, every time one of his tracks comes on the radio, or someone plays one at a party, we all smile big and feel like dancing. Martin gave us so much in 30 years of career, and he never missed a beat. But now, it looks like he’s done, no more live shows.

The last one, just a few days ago at the Vieilles Charrues festival, seems to mark the end of his DJ career—but probably not his producer one (we hope!). In 2023, Martin Solveig gave us the album “Back To Life,” and we’d love if he released something new.

For now, it looks like he wants to focus on a new project, a kids’ app called Alma Studio. Either way, Martin Solveig is one of those artists who helped write the history of Dance music, and we’ll always be thankful for that.

I just came to say hello, Martin!
