Good news! It seems that big festivals are behind the corner! The one million dollar question now is: What will the new music trends be? Will there be a return to the origins between BigRoom and Progressive? Or maybe it is time for even more Slap House? Observing what is going on in the record market, we believe that the new post-pandemic music trend might be Future Rave.
Future Rave, started in 2019 by David Guetta and MORTEN, does not seem to have reached a peak at all. The two producers released many tracks, but they did not receive much welcome in the business. Might this be due to the pandemic and the cancellation of the festivals? Maybe, since Future Rave, blending elements of Bigroom, Trance and Techno, brings that energy which is fundamental in a festival!
In the last months, festivals have been announced, and the Future Rave sound is getting out there with other new tracks. For example, “Inside The Rave” by Shapov and “Tell Me Why” by Armin Van Buuren are shifting toward Future Rave.
Kaaze as well, for his “Midnight Runners,” might have taken inspiration from David Guetta e MORTEN. “Ride Or Die” by Smack and 22Bullets is a clear example of a production thought for the present but oriented to the future, being a hybrid between Future House and Future Rave.
This might be the dawn of a new sound, with many tracks being ready to be released. Or just a niche trend. We will discover it soon!
Do you want to hear it from David Guetta? During our interview, David clearly expressed his opinion on the matter. Check it out in case you missed it.
