#10TRACKS | Urban Room – July ’22

Let’s begin the #10TRACKS rubric with Kendrick Lamar and his “N95,” which launched the fifth album, “Mr. Morale & #10TRACKSthe Big Steppers.” The rapper from Compton keeps making history in hip hop even with an album without a big hit.

Another long-awaited comeback is Post Malone, who released “Twelve Carat Toothache,” his fourth album that stopped his climb to the top of Billboard at the second position. “I Like You (A Happier Song)” is the track on which he collaborates with Doja Cat.

#10TRACKSAfter the Disco-Funk “About Damn Time,” Lizzo makes her Urban fanbase happy with “Grrrls.” The fourth album by the artist from Detroit is called “Special.”

Pharrell is not very prolific, but when he releases something, the long await is always well-repaid. “Cash In Cash Out” is a collaboration with 21 Savage and Tyler, The Creator.

On the opposite side, Arizona Zervas floods the market with many singles such as “OH MY LORD,” featuring#10TRACKS24kGoldn. After “ROXANNE,” there is potential for a new hit.

More than an album, “Scorcha” is the playlist that Sean Paul proposes for such a hot summer. Of course, the genre of reggae could not be left out, and it is represented by “Light My Fire,” featuring Gwen Stefani and Shenseea.

#10TRACKSSame sound, but autotune and language make the difference. “Me Fui de Vacaciones” by Bad Bunny is among the 23 songs in his fourth album.

The sample is a total blast, but we must admit that Tion Wayne used it well. “IFTK” arrived 6th in the UK thanks to the refrain sung by La Roux, sampled from “In for the Kill” from 2009.

In the past decade, she authored many hits for Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Demi Lovato, and many more. For a few years, though, the American Muni Long has been trying to gain popularity with her music. “Baby Boo” brings us back to the golden era of Urban Pop with a part rapped by Saweetie.

Let’s finish the #10TRACKS rubric with “True Love,” a posthumous collaboration between Kanye West and#10TRACKSXXXTENTACION.
