Si conclude l’edizione 2023 degli MTV VMA (Video Music Awards), l’ambito premio video-musicale che dona una o più statuette agli artisti meritevoli. Dal Prudential Center di Newark nel New Jersey, la kermesse di MTV propone sempre uno spettacolo gradevole e quest’anno porta con se anche diversi aspetti notevoli.
Dalla lista dei vincitori, che potete leggere in versione integrale qui sotto, saltano all’occhio sicuramente un pò di cose: I Maneskin, continuano ad essere sul tetto del mondo, amatissimi, praticamente ovunque, e benchè siamo ancora qui a chiederci il perchè di tutto questo, prendiamo la cosa per assodata. Un altro fattore rilevante è la quantità di artisti dal mondo K-Pop che si porta casa una statuetta.

Quello che sembrava essere un fenomeno di nicchia è diventato globale. Il K-Pop piace, e non solo in territorio asiatico. A rompere un pò di record c’è invece Taylor Swift che deve chiamare una ditta di trasporti per tornare a casa dato il numero enorme di statuette conquistate. Un Record, ben 9 premi, che la portano sul tetto del mondo scavalcando artisti come Madonna e Beyoncé.
